Outsourcing the IT requirements of a business, be it a trading enterprise, a government department or local authority, is big business. It is also a long term business that depends for its success on a healthy relationship between the supplier and the customer. Consider questions like this.
* How can suppliers do better for their current customers?
* How can customers work better with their suppliers?
* Which suppliers are ‘going the extra mile’?
If you are, or someone you know is, actively interested in this area from the customer’s perspective then we would like to hear from you.
Your interest may be as someone who is managing a bid to outsource your current needs or renew/ replace a current outsourcing deal, you may be a current outsource customer with direct - though not necessarily top level - experience of the way things are going, you maybe someone who is watching the market trying to decide what to recommend. Whatever your perspective, if you have an informed opinion, then we would like your input.
TripleIC Limited (http://www.tripleic.com) is to undertake an ongoing assessment of the Customer Engagement of outsource suppliers. Using TripleIC’s online survey system ADVOCATE, panel members will be able to contribute their views about each outsource suppler for whom they have knowledge. Panellists will also be invited to provide verbatim comments explaining their assessment.
As a panellist you will be asked to complete this assessment on a quarterly basis. The efficient design of the survey means that it will only take you five minutes to complete.
Knowledgeable people who become respondents will in return receive a copy of the quarterly report which includes the merit table and a summary of the verbatim comments. The contributions will be used to compile a quarterly order of merit table.
The results will be processed and then analysed and codified by TripleIC so as to ensure consistency. Part of the processing is to ensure that the details seen by the Assessment Panel and the information published in the final result do not identify any individual contribution. Your input, therefore, is treated in strictest confidence.
The output will be a Table Of Merit listing wherein each supplier will be given an overall score. A representative selection of the contributors’ comments will be included so that the results can be set in context. Contributing panel members will receive the whole report.
This is an opportunity to express your views on outsource suppliers and to see what your knowledgeable peers in the outsource world think. For the suppliers this acts as a source of direct customer feedback enabling them to align their operations to meet the needs of their customers for mutual benefit.
